Over 35 years of AHG

Your automotive partner in Gotha, Waltershausen, Suhl, and Wichtshausen

Founded on May 1, 1990, under the name "Autohaus Gotha GmbH", today's AHG Group has since become a well-known name for numerous customers, extending well beyond the district borders. In September 2009, Autohaus Gotha GmbH merged with Autohaus Eckardt GmbH Suhl and was renamed AHG GmbH. Our range of services has expanded steadily: in October 2017, we opened our SEAT dealership in Gotha, and since January 2018, following the acquisition of Eckardt Automobile GmbH in Suhl-Wichtshausen, we are also able to offer you the Škoda brand.

Under the slogan "Automotive Competence" and led by Managing Director Stefan Reinhardt (founder Jürgen Reinhardt served as Managing Director until September 2007), we employ more than 260 people across two locations in Gotha, two locations in Suhl, and one location in Waltershausen. We, the AHG Group, are your sales and service partner for the Volkswagen, Audi, CUPRA, SEAT, Škoda, and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brands, as well as a Bosch Car Service partner.

The fact that our company is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 demonstrates our competence and directly benefits our customers in every way.

Charity Christmas Tree Campaign 2025

In December 2025, we had the privilege of running a very special campaign and were completely overwhelmed by the support of our dear customers and colleagues!

A total of 62 wishes from children at the Sunshinehouse facilities in Waltershausen/Schnepfenthal and Bad Tabarz adorned our charity Christmas trees. Thanks to our combined efforts, all gifts were successfully handed over to the Sunshinehouse – bringing joy to many children's faces.
